At Aplates, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may require changes to your custom number plate order. We strive to offer a flexible cancellation policy while also ensuring fair treatment for both parties involved. Please review our cancellation policy below:

1. Order Cancellation Timing: Customers have the option to cancel their custom number plate order within 1 hour of placing the order without incurring any cancellation fees. If the cancellation request is received after 1 hour, the cancellation will be subject to the terms outlined below.

2. Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made after 1 hour of placing the order, in which the plates are yet to be dispatched, incur a cancellation fee of £5 per plate, plus a transaction charge of 1.5% (of the order, excluding shipping) + £0.20p.

This is the case even if the customer is yet to submit their entitlement documents. This is because the customer’s plates could have already been made by the time the cancellation has been requested. In this scenario, the plates could have been made and put to one side, as we would have to wait to receive the relevant entitlement documentation in order to dispatch the order. If the relevant entitlement documentation isn’t provided, the plates are subsequently destroyed.

3. Refund Process: Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed on the same day the cancellation is approved. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing time.

4. Modification Instead of Cancellation: Customers who wish to make changes to their custom number plate order instead of canceling may do so within 1 hour of placing the order without incurring any modification fees. However, customers will have to cover the cost of the changes if the modified order is more expensive than the original order. After this 1 hour period, modification requests may be subject to an additional fee, as the original order may have already been produced.

5. Production and Shipment Stage: Once an order has entered the shipment stage, cancellations are no longer possible. Customers will be responsible for the full payment of the order.

6. Special Circumstances: In cases of unforeseen events such as legal restrictions, technical issues, or any other circumstances that prevent the completion of the order, Aplates reserves the right to cancel the order and provide a full refund to the customer.

7. Contacting Customer Support: To request a cancellation, customers must contact our customer support team at help@aplates.co.uk or 01373 481349. Please provide your order number and any relevant details when making the cancellation request.

8. Policy Changes: Aplates reserves the right to modify or update this cancellation policy at any time. Customers will be subject to the cancellation policy in place at the time of their order placement.
